Supply Chain Analyst

Position Summary
The Supply Chain Analyst serves as a critical connector between data, people, and process — transforming information into actionable insights that drive operational excellence and informed decision-making across the Supply Chain function. This position leverages data analytics, systems expertise, and collaboration to enhance efficiency, improve procurement and inventory practices, and support continuous improvement initiatives across MGE’s Oracle Cloud ERP and related systems.
Core Responsibilities

Data Analytics and Business Intelligence

Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, databases, and spreadsheets to visualize and communicate supply chain performance.

Create, maintain, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) that assess departmental efficiency, supplier performance, and operational trends.

Leverage tools such as Power BI, SQL, and Excel to provide actionable data insights to business partners.

Develop and implement business intelligence tools to support executive and operational decision-making.
Process Improvement and Systems Optimization

Lead cross-functional efforts to identify, document, and implement process improvement opportunities.

Collaborate with IT and business teams to configure, test, and upgrade systems including Oracle Cloud ERP and Work and Asset Management platforms.

Troubleshoot system issues and ensure business continuity in supply chain operations.

Audit system data and processes to identify and resolve errors, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Project Management and Strategic Initiatives

Manage and coordinate small to medium-sized projects, while providing analytical and technical support to larger initiatives.

Support the Procurement team with tools, data, and insights for strategic sourcing and supplier management.

Participate in system upgrade and implementation projects, ensuring deliverables align with business needs and timelines.

Develop project documentation, schedules, and reports to communicate progress and outcomes.
Training, Communication, and Change Management

Create standard operating procedures, user guides, and training materials to support new and existing supply chain applications.

Train end users on systems and best practices to ensure adoption and proficiency.

Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations summarizing analytics, trends, and improvement opportunities.

Build and foster trusting relationships across business functions to ensure alignment and collaboration.
Continuous Improvement and Safety Engagement

Participate actively in safety and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance and workplace culture.

Identify opportunities to streamline data flows, eliminate redundancies, and automate manual processes.

Skills

Proficient in data storytelling and data visualization (Power BI preferred).

Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Advanced skills in Excel, SQL, and database management.

Understanding of ERP/integrated software systems and their relationship to business processes.

Familiarity with MRP methodology, inventory management, and standard accounting practices.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience

Minimum of five years of experience in data or systems analysis.

At least two years of experience supporting financial management or supply chain systems within an ERP environment (Oracle Cloud preferred).
