The tech should have knowledge in upgrading Win 10 devices to Win 11. Troubleshoot issues in refres, hardware refresh/troubleshooting, end user IT support etc.
We are looking for a proactive and skilled Windows 11 Migration and Desktop Support Specialist to join our IT team. This role focuses on successfully migrating end-user systems to Windows 11 while providing comprehensive desktop support services.
Windows 11 Migration:
- Plan and execute the migration of user systems from older Windows versions to Windows 11 with minimal disruption.
- Conduct pre-migration assessments, including hardware compatibility checks and data backup preparations.
- Perform software and application compatibility testing and resolve related issues.
- Coordinate with users to schedule migrations, ensuring minimal impact on productivity.
- Document and address migration-related issues and escalate complex problems to senior technical teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 4+ years of experience in desktop support, with at least 4 years of experience in system migrations or upgrades.
- Expertise in Windows 10/11 operating systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of hardware compatibility, imaging tools, and system migration best practices.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, Office 365, and enterprise tools.
