Job Summary and Qualifications

The Pediatric Emergency Room Nurse Coordinator is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while overseeing all functions within the department during your shift. You will collaborate with the management team to ensure nursing care aligns with established protocols, serving as a resource for staff and upholding our mission and values to achieve outstanding patient experiences and clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with patient admissions and discharges to enhance efficiency and care quality.
• Participate in the ongoing evaluation of patient care services in collaboration with the management team.
• Foster teamwork among staff and collaborate with specialists to improve patient outcomes and service levels.
• Embrace a patient-first approach and engage in service recovery when necessary.
• Enhance employee engagement through operational initiatives such as hourly rounding.
• Contribute to hiring, training, and development processes for new staff.
• Manage staff scheduling in alignment with patient care needs and productivity standards.
• Maintain proper inventory of supplies and equipment.

Qualifications:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required within 90 days of employment.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required within 90 days of employment.
• Registered Nurse (RN) designation.
• Associate Degree in nursing.

No travel is required for this position.

Experience: 2 years of nursing experience is required.
