What You Will Do:

As the Software Configuration Manager (SWCM) at Centrus Energy, you'll be the guardian of order in a world of digital innovation. You'll ensure every line of code, firmware update, and software release is tracked, trusted, and rock-solid. Think of yourself as the architect behind smooth-running systems-bridging engineering, IT, and quality to keep our cutting-edge technology consistent, compliant, and future-ready. From automating processes to leading change control boards and optimizing our Product Data Management (PDM) system, you'll turn complexity into clarity while driving digital transformation across Centrus.

We'd Love to Hear From People With:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in software configuration management, IT, or software development
  • Facilitate Software Change Review Boards (SCRBs) and ensure timely, well-documented decisions.
  • Strong working knowledge of version control, change management, and Agile tools
  • Administer and manage access to SWCM tools (e.g., Windchill, SolidWorks, Microsoft Azure DevOps Server, Git, Bitbucket, JIRA, Confluence).
  • Familiarity with Windows and Unix/Linux environments
  • Experience with Python and VBA, the primary scripting languages used for configuration logic (CL) programming.
  • Coordinate software and firmware product releases across multiple environments, including in-house developed electronics. This encompasses System-on-Chip (SoC) designs, FPGA programming, and other programmable logic devices used in electronic circuit manufacturing. Responsibilities also include developing test rigs to validate programmed logic devices prior to field deployment.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a "Q" clearance.
A Successful Candidate Brings:
  • Experience in regulated industries (nuclear, aerospace, or defense is a plus)
  • Proven ability to build, automate, and optimize configuration management systems
  • Oversee DevSecOps tools such as Coverity, Artifactory, Jenkins, Nexus, GitLab CI/CD, and Bamboo.
  • An enthusiasm for continuous improvement, innovation, and digital integrity
  • An active or previously held Q-level security clearance.

This position will require a pre-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test.

This position requires the successful candidate to obtain and maintain a Q security clearance. Candidates for positions requiring a security clearance are required to be tested for the absence of any illegal drug as defined in 10 CFR 707.4 prior to an offer of employment being made. In addition, once employe, employees will become part of a random drug testing program and may also be tested in the event of any incident causing injury or causing damage to property, or if it is determined that there is a reasonable suspicion the employee is under the influence of drugs or alcohol. This position will require preemployment background check on the part of the Company and in order to receive a Q security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal government. Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required.
