Senior Buyer Planner / OPM

EV Charging Technology

Salary: $110k - $130k + Bonus

Join a dynamic and rapidly growing electric vehicle (EV) charging company that is at the forefront of innovation in the mobility, energy, and PropTech sectors. Our client is dedicated to developing cutting-edge EV charging solutions to facilitate the widespread adoption of electric vehicles.

The Operations team is seeking a Senior Buyer Planner to play a crucial role in sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials for EV charging hardware and accessories. Your efforts will directly support production and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accuracy in ERP transactional records and planning parameters, contributing to annual audits and financial reporting.
  • Proactively address and resolve discrepancies in purchase orders, invoices, and receipts, coordinating with vendors as necessary.
  • Maintain document control in PLM systems and ensure synchronization of part numbers, BOMs, and engineering drawings across platforms.
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, conducting performance reviews to drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead negotiations on pricing, payment terms, MOQs, and lead times to meet cost objectives.
  • Oversee multi-modal transportation logistics to optimize costs and meet delivery schedules.
  • Monitor supplier deliveries and take proactive measures to prevent production delays or material shortages.
  • Support new product introductions by ensuring supply chain is prepared for production ramp-up.
  • Manage engineering change orders (ECOs) with suppliers, documenting transitions effectively.
  • Maintain precise inventory records while implementing lean inventory management practices (JIT, cycle counts, E&O).
  • Ensure adherence to customs, international shipping, and regulatory compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in demand planning and production scheduling.
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies and craft plans for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Skilled in handling unexpected challenges and developing solutions to meet targets.
  • Exceptional attention to detail in cataloging part numbers and other items.
  • Adept at analyzing data, problem-solving, and decision-making.
  • Relevant industry experience (hardware manufacturing, consumer electronics, etc.).
  • Proficient in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and PLM systems (Arena, Duro).
