Job Description Summary

Join us as a vital partner in transforming the Internal Audit function In the role of Internal Audit Transformation Lead, you will work closely with the Strategic, Innovation, Enablement, and DT Audit Executive to advance our internal audit priorities. Your mission will be to integrate cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) into audit activities, enhance risk management across our three lines of defense, and elevate the audit function to be a proactive, insight-driven partner.

Additionally, you will spearhead continuous improvement initiatives focused on standardizing and optimizing Internal Audit processes and methodologies. Part of your responsibilities will also involve conducting data-driven assurance and advisory projects, making up approximately 25% of your efforts.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic initiatives that enhance Internal Audit’s role as a proactive risk partner across the three lines of defense.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align audit focus and activities with enterprise risk and business objectives.

  • Drive the integration of AI throughout the audit lifecycle, including risk assessment, planning, fieldwork, and reporting.

  • Design and implement process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance audit operations and methodologies.

  • Utilize emerging technologies and data analytics to boost audit operations and methodologies.

  • Plan and execute risk-based, data-driven audits and advisory engagements end-to-end, leveraging analytics to provide clear, actionable risk insights.

  • Manage Internal Audit rotational staffing programs (e.g., guest auditor, FMP rotation, co-op) strategically to ensure meaningful assignments and robust development experiences.

  • Stay updated with industry trends, benchmarks, and best practices, and share insights to refine audit methodologies and operational practices.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience (or 5 years with experience in a GE Aerospace leadership development program).

  • Preferred experience in audit.

Desired Characteristics

  • Additional credentials such as CPA/CA, CIA, CFA, CISA or equivalent are advantageous.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to align audit operations with organizational goals to drive long-term value and innovation.

  • Proven track record of leading process standardization/optimization and implementing transformation initiatives.

  • Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively and influence stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously while delivering high-quality results on time.

  • Experience applying Flight Deck fundamentals is a plus.

  • Proficiency in Alteryx is preferred.

The base pay range for this position is $119,000 - $158,000. The specific pay offered will depend on various factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary. This posting is expected to close on 2/9/26.
