Role: HCL WebSphere Commerce Technical Lead

Location: Dearborn, MI

On Site Work: Local candidates only, or willing to relocate for the entire assignment day 1 to end. This position is a hybrid position, as of now the team is meeting regularly on site a few days per week.

Job Description:
  • As an experienced WCS Technical lead who is proficient with HCL Commerce V9 and above versions.
  • Your primary focus will be on Leading the triage efforts for our company website and support the Developers working on WCS and React store.
  • You will ensure the team will collaboratively work with business and other stakeholders in delivering the value to the customer.
  • You will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the Application components and Google Cloud Platform Infrastructure.
  • Therefore, a commitment to problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is important.
  • You will Actively follow up and close the open incidents assigned.
  • Take care of day-to-day Production support activities and on call support.
  • You will follow the agile and PDO practices to deliver the results.
Education Qualification:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field or Master's degree desirable

No. of Years of Experience:
  • 8+ years of progressive responsibilities in HCL Commerce
  • Experience/Competency
  • Strong Design and implementation experience in HCL WebSphere Commerce V9.X Strong understanding of WebSphere commerce application architecture.
  • Experience in e-Commerce end-to-end systems and their sub-systems such as User Profile, Browse, Promotion, Checkout and Order Management.
  • Hands-on experience working in development, support, enhancement and migration projects.
  • Hands-on in REST based services - development and integration with web application - Product, Inventory REST API creation.
  • Data pre-process and build import queries used in SOLR/Elastic search engine
  • CMC (Management Center), Administration consoles for configuring the catalog, promotion, marketing, e-spot content configuration and stores.
  • Knowledge in JQuery, SQL's
  • Knowledge in OMS, PIM
  • Experience in Integration of responsive UI design
  • Good knowledge in Performance optimization
  • Dynatrace Monitoring tool experience.


Must Have:
  1. Hands on experience of the eCommerce platform (HCL Commerce)
  2. Hands on experience in WCS / React development.


Nice to Have:
• Hands-on experience in managing GCP environment and related tech stacks.
• Prior experience in the PDO model (Agile)
• Java, IICS or SQL based hands on solutioning skills to guide team and develop strategies.
• good understanding of FCSD eCommerce landscape.
• good understanding of accounting processes
