The VP of Talent Acquisition will lead Shift4's global recruiting strategy and operations, building a world-class function that scales with our rapid growth and global expansion.

Reporting directly to the CHRO, this role will design and execute a forward-looking talent acquisition strategy focused on quality, speed, candidate experience, and innovation. You'll lead a high-performing global TA team and partner with senior executives to anticipate talent needs, strengthen our employer brand, and deliver results across all functions and geographies.

This is both a strategic and hands-on leadership role - ideal for someone who can balance global vision with operational precision.

Responsibilities

Talent Strategy & Leadership
  • Build and lead Shift4's global Talent Acquisition strategy to support aggressive growth and expansion.
  • Partner with executives to forecast hiring needs and align recruiting priorities with business objectives.
  • Lead, develop, and inspire a global TA team across North America, EMEA, and APAC.
  • Create scalable recruiting processes, technology, and analytics infrastructure.
  • Ensure alignment between corporate, regional, and functional recruiting strategies.
Operational Excellence & Innovation
  • Establish clear KPIs, dashboards, and metrics to measure hiring performance, quality, and efficiency.
  • Leverage data, automation, and tools to streamline recruiting and improve decision-making.
  • Partner with HR Ops and IT to optimize Workday Recruiting and related systems.
  • Build strong relationships with Finance and Workforce Planning to ensure proactive, integrated hiring plans.
Employer Brand & Candidate Experience
  • Strengthen Shift4's reputation as an employer of choice through targeted branding, content, and partnerships.
  • Champion a seamless, inclusive, and high-touch candidate experience at every stage.
  • Partner with Communications and Marketing to amplify Shift4's brand story across digital channels.
Executive & Critical Hiring
  • Personally lead executive and senior-level searches in partnership with the CHRO.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the leadership team on talent availability, market trends, and competitive intelligence.
Qualifications
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in Talent Acquisition, with at least 5 years in senior leadership.
  • Proven success building and leading global recruiting organizations in high-growth or transformation environments.
  • Expertise in employer branding, sourcing strategies, and recruiting technology.
  • Data-driven mindset with strong business acumen and executive presence.
  • Experience managing TA across multiple countries, time zones, and cultures.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
