JOB SUMMARY: Join our dynamic team as an Operations Support Specialist In this key role, you will contribute to our agronomy, grain, and feed departments. Your main responsibilities will include the pick-up and delivery of fertilizer equipment, loading fertilizer, as well as handling grain duties such as maintenance of the elevator and assisting with grain loading and unloading. We seek a dedicated individual committed to optimizing efficiency, achieving company goals, and delivering exceptional customer service. Your positive attitude will play a vital role in fostering teamwork and enhancing our company image.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Solid understanding of elevator machinery operation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of fertilizer, seed, and grain handling.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a 7B Fumigation License.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to respond constructively to change and other assigned tasks.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Handle incoming grain, perform quality checks, and efficiently transfer grain to designated storage.
- Conduct regular inspections of stored grain to maintain quality and recommend improvements.
- Unload feed and assist customers with feeding supplies as directed.
- Load and deliver fertilizer according to instructions.
- Adhere to safety regulations and promote a culture of safety in all operations.
- Perform regular maintenance on equipment and facilities as per company standards.
- Assist other departments as needed and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Provide outstanding customer service to enhance customer loyalty.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This job requires regular standing, walking, and some climbing. You should be able to lift and move items up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Specific vision abilities required include close and distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
Safety gear, including eye protection, hard hats, and gloves, is necessary in specific areas. Proper attire includes full-length denim pants and leather-toed shoes, with additional protective equipment required when handling chemicals.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
A high school diploma or GED is required.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This role involves both office work in a climate-controlled environment and outdoor work in variable weather conditions. The position requires physical activity, including movement and lifting.
