Special Education Ed Tech III - Multiple Positions
South Portland Schools are seeking Educational Technicians to support students with Special Education.
  • Resource Classrooms typically serve students with primarily academic and some social, emotional, and behavioral needs. Classrooms are supported by service providers as needed.
  • Composite Classrooms typically serve students who have more disability related needs (academic, social, attentional, behavioral, and developmental). Composite classrooms are supported by service providers and a BCBA.
  • Functional Life Skills Classrooms serve students who often have communication, academic, behavioral, sometimes physical, and often require support with activities of daily living. Classrooms are supported by a full service provider team, including a BCBA, Speech/Language Pathologist, and Occupational Therapist.
  • Social, Emotional, and Behavioral Classrooms serve students who require support with emotional and behavioral regulation, as well as academic and social needs at times. Classrooms are supported by a full service provider team, including a Consulting Psychologist/BCBA, and Social Worker.

Candidates should demonstrate effective communication skills, a strong desire to be part of a supportive and dynamic team, and be flexible.

Ed tech III certification preferred and CHRC authorization is required.
