Join our team at the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), where you will play a crucial role in delivering and maintaining the Defense Information System Network (DISN) services. This position is vital to supporting military and national security operations.

The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector/Global Solutions Management-Operations II (GSMO-II) contract is seeking a Network Implementation Engineer III. You will be responsible for guiding the installation, configuration, testing, monitoring, and servicing of network equipment to activate networks supporting the Department of Defense.

This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with customers, execute Initial Test and Acceptance (IT&A), manage reporting functions, and complete data input for new network equipment and service activations to ensure compliance with DISA standards.

• Configure and maintain DISA's out-of-band management network using Cisco and Juniper devices, tailored to each site.

• Upgrade software on Cisco and Juniper devices.

• Create and update project planning documentation for IP addressing schemes and equipment management IP selection.

• Conduct systems analysis by consulting with users to determine their hardware, software, and system needs.

• Ensure proper formatting and accuracy of information (POC, location, & interface) as per provided guidelines.

• Verify correct points of contact for each circuit location.

• Collaborate with DISA project managers and customers to resolve issues related to unclear or incomplete requirements.

• Engage with stakeholders to facilitate approvals for smooth progress of service requests.

Basic Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of network hardware specifications, configuration processes, and industry standards.

• Experience in network engineering, problem management, and performance management.

• Understanding of networking architecture and the ability to evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance capabilities.

• Proficient in data and voice network design, military and commercial protocols such as BGP and ISIS, and circuit configurations.

• Hands-on experience with network services like BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, and appliances such as routers and firewalls.

• Ability to configure, activate, test, and analyze network systems effectively.

• Proven capability to work in a team-focused environment while being self-motivated to complete tasks efficiently.

• Excellent written and verbal communication, team-building, and collaborative skills.

• Must possess an active Secret security clearance.

• DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience or familiarity with DISA systems and processes.

• Experience with SharePoint data entry, DDOE, or SharePoint order processing.

• Ability to order services for customers and manage service requests within the DISA Storefront (DSF).

• Experience in customer outreach to ensure accuracy of POC, location, and interface for service requests.

Required Education and Experience:

• A Bachelor's degree and 4-8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 2-6 years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

Pay Range: Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
