Job Description
Equities Front Office Developer

This contract has an initial duration of six months with likely extension - could convert to FT after 6 months

Key skills: Java, Equities Financing, Swaps, Nuvo Prime and /or SwapOne, some sort of AI platform like DL4J is a big plus, Murex is also a plus

Really need more of a front office type of person (i.e., working with traders)

Location is New York City 2-3 days/weekn

Equities Front Office Developer

Required Skills
• Hands-on experience in Java in Equities development space.
• In-depth knowledge of equities, equity derivatives, and trading workflows (including FIX protocol)
• Experience with mission-critical trading platforms (Order/Stock Loan/Market Data Systems)
• Direct collaboration with trading desks, quants, and risk teams
• Expertise in DevSecOps methodologies and tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, PuppetLabs, SonaType, SonarQube, Tenable, Invicti and Zero Networks
• Experience in development and maintenance of automated testing frameworks
• Solid understanding of back-end and front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Bachelor's/master's degree in computer science or related field
• 5+ years of Java development experience, ideally in capital markets/financial services
• Experience with frameworks (Spring, Hibernate), messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake)
• Proficiency with Git and Agile development
• Strong multitasking, organizational, and communication skills

Good to Have
• Experience with AI/ML
• Experience and familiarity with Log observability tools such as Elastic Search/Kibana/Splunk stack.
• Familiarity with pricing models, quantitative analysis, and P&L calculations.
• Experience with leading industry platforms, including Quod, FlexTrade, Charles River Trader, Nuvoprime, and Murex.
• Experience with cloud (Azure, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of regulatory/risk/compliance and audit controls in Equities trading space is plus.
