Equities Front Office Java Developer

Salary Range: $160k to $190k

We're seeking a hands-on Java developer to support front office equities trading systems. Ideal candidates will have strong experience in capital markets and be comfortable working directly with traders and quants.
Key Requirements:
- 5+ years of Java development, preferably in financial services
- Deep knowledge of equities, equity derivatives, and trading workflows (including FIX)
- Experience building and supporting high-performance trading platforms (e.g., order management, stock loan, market data)
- Familiarity with Spring, Hibernate, Kafka or RabbitMQ, and databases like Oracle or SQL Server
- Understanding of front-end tech (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Proven experience with DevSecOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, SonarQube, Tenable)
- Background in automated testing frameworks
- Strong Git and Agile development skills
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
- Exposure to AI/ML or quant models
- Familiarity with tools like ElasticSearch, Kibana, or Splunk
- Experience with P&L calculations and pricing models
- Knowledge of platforms like Quod, FlexTrade, Charles River, Nuvoprime, or Murex
- Cloud experience (Azure, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes)
- Understanding of risk, compliance, and audit in equities trading
