Responsibilities:
- Oversee the food service program, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and customer service.
- Manage inventory effectively and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Lead, mentor, and train the food service team while actively participating in various roles as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and management to support dining operations.
- Ensure a safe, sanitary environment by following infection control and safety protocols.
- Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance while fulfilling assigned tasks.
- Represent HCSG positively through courteous interactions with clients, residents, and team members.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification is required.
- An Associate's degree or higher in food service management or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of two years experience in quantity food production/service and supervision is preferred.
- Must obtain the Food Protection Manager certification within the first 14 days of employment.
- Must complete the Food Service Manager and Long-Term Care Food Service certifications within the first 60 days.
- Demonstrated strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude while interacting effectively with all stakeholders.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is required.
- Must be capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds and participating in physically active tasks.
- Basic computer skills are necessary for record-keeping and reporting.
- Residency within the service area is required.
