Responsibilities:

The Certified Dietary Manager will oversee the food service program at our facility, ensuring high standards for food quality, inventory management, safety, and exceptional customer service. This role requires strict adherence to facility menus, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as HCSG policies.

• Lead and support the food service team to achieve quality and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records related to income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel, and equipment using HCSG software.
• Conduct staff training, quality control checks, and in-service sessions; assist as needed in roles such as dietary aide, cook, and dishwasher.
• Effectively communicate directives from client managers and administration to HCSG staff.
• Use protective equipment, ensure safe mixing and application of cleaning products, and promptly report equipment needs or malfunctions.
• Adhere to infection control, universal precautions, and handwashing protocols to ensure a sanitary environment.
• Maintain regular attendance, punctuality, and timely completion of tasks.
• Represent HCSG positively through courteous interactions with staff, residents, and guests.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification is required.
• An Associate's degree or higher in food service management or hospitality, preferably including food service management coursework.
• Two years of experience in quantity food production/service and personnel supervision preferred.
• Must obtain Food Protection Manager (FPM) certification within the first 14 days of employment.
• Must obtain Food Service Manager (FSM) and Long-Term Care Food Service (LTC-FSM) certifications within the first 60 days of employment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive attitude and the ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Ability to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds and stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Capable of performing routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
• Ability to work in proximity to food and cleaning products.
• Basic computer proficiency for record maintenance and report completion is required.
• May need to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.
• Residency within the service area is required.
