Join our dynamic OR Team at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center, the premier medical facility in Wisconsin known for its innovative heart care and exceptional service. We are committed to providing culturally sensitive and top-quality care.

Schedule/Hours: Full-time evening shifts (8 or 10 hours) with on-call responsibilities including overnight and weekend shifts as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a clean and safe environment for optimal patient care using aseptic techniques.
  • Assist with various surgical procedures, maintaining knowledge of surgical techniques and equipment.
  • Prepare the operating room effectively for each case, managing equipment and supplies.
  • Act as a Second Assistant when necessary and facilitate patient transport.
  • Maintain specialty carts, ensuring they are fully stocked and in working order.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care.

Required Qualifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Completion of an accredited program in Surgical Technology.
  • No prior experience is required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Familiarity with surgical techniques and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Basic computer skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform duties in a demanding environment.
  • Exposure to various hazards; adherence to safety protocols is essential.
  • Requirements include functional sight and hearing, as well as the ability to wear protective equipment.
