Position Overview:

Successful candidate will have experience in all phases of contact creation and management. Strong preference given to candidates with PACE experience. Ideal candidate will possess i-certic experience.

The Contract Specialist creates, examines, and monitors contractual agreements for supplies, equipment, and purchased services and is responsible for accurate and timely management of Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) and local contracts and price files in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and contract management system(s) and databases ensuring that contracts do not expire without action and effective communication to content management, sourcing operations, and contract managers. Monitors internal contract performance, including GPO tier optimization, and contribute input to supplier performance management strategies. Provides input to value analysis activities by conducting price comparisons and reviewing contract implications for new product requests.

Job Description :

EDUCATION:

  • Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

  • Bachelor's in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain management or other related field

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 years recent relevant experience.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Ability to work in a professional, multi-disciplinary team as a group leader, facilitator and/ or participant.

  • Creative problem solver with a demonstrated ability to communicate specific barriers to the contracting process with recommended solutions.

  • Oral and written communication skills that are clear, concise and actionable.

  • Proficient in the use of all aspects and software provided in the Microsoft Office suite including, PowerPoint and Vision.

  • Ability to run analytical reports to determine historical usage, using Lawson and Cognos software.

Pay Range is $34.25 to $51.38 / hour

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package. ?
