Description - What You'll Do
- Conduct routine and advanced clinical laboratory tests across disciplines including chemistry, hematology, immunology, and more, adhering to strict protocols.
- Evaluate results for accuracy, identify discrepancies, and maintain lab instruments through routine calibration and preventative care.
- Participate in specimen collection where necessary and prepare samples for subsequent analysis.
- Keep meticulous records of all procedures, assist in mentoring new team members, and contribute to upholding the laboratory's quality standards.
- Ensure a clean, safe work environment while complying with all regulatory and accreditation criteria.
- A Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health credential, along with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.
- Obtain ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) within the first year of employment.
- Maintain active certification throughout tenure.
