Description - Your Role Unfolds
- Conduct both routine and intricate clinical lab tests-spanning areas like chemistry, hematology, and immunology-while strictly following established methods.
- Ensure the accuracy of results, troubleshoot any discrepancies, and handle the maintenance and calibration of lab equipment with care.
- Be involved in specimen collection and preparation for analysis when necessary.
- Thoroughly document all procedures, mentor new staff or students, and help to maintain the lab's quality assurance standards.
- Uphold a clean and safe working atmosphere while adhering to all regulatory guidelines and accreditation standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health qualification with plans for ASCP or AMT certification.
- Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) from ASCP or AMT to be achieved within the first year of employment.
- Ongoing maintenance of your certification throughout your role.
- Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork within a healthcare setting.
- Able to exercise independent judgment and problem-solve effectively in high-pressure environments.
- Superb organizational skills with an eye for detail, particularly in quality checks and documentation.
