Responsibilities:

• Design and develop software while enhancing existing code for improved efficiency and bug detection.
• Create unit tests and validate your code against acceptance criteria.
• Establish and promote team coding, documentation, and testing standards.
• Conduct impact analyses to anticipate changes across multiple applications.
• Learn the business process to better support operational needs.
• Experiment and validate assumptions to recommend effective solutions.
• Lead code reviews and communicate changes within applications.
• Document projects and code for clarity and maintainability.
• Resolve production issues and propose effective solutions across applications.
• Read, write, and review detailed design documents.
• Contribute to team sprint commitments and engage in Agile practices.
• Promote continuous learning to enhance design and code quality.
• Participate in talent acquisition efforts.
• Mentor and review the work of less experienced engineers.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience.
• Expertise in developing omnichannel (voice, chat, AI bot) conversational flows using Genesys Cloud CX Architect.
• Proficiency in Genesys Cloud Reporting.
• Experience with Genesys Cloud APIs.
• Strong knowledge of one or more object-oriented programming languages and design patterns.
• Practical experience in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile/SCRUM.
• Experience in data modeling and application messaging.
• Experience with mission-critical enterprise applications.
• Ability to coach and mentor junior team members.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a technical lead role overseeing software engineering teams.
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience with Genesys Cloud Reporting API and security measures.
• Familiarity with observability platforms such as Dynatrace or Prometheus and SRE practices.
• Advanced understanding of IDEs and ability to leverage features for performance enhancement.
• Experience in API creation and security, including REST and SOAP Web Services.
• Understanding of database development and optimization techniques.
• Financial services industry experience is a plus.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Ability to challenge the status quo and influence stakeholders to foster innovative solutions.
• Strong collaboration skills to unify diverse thoughts towards business objectives.
• Deep understanding of relevant technologies, coaching team members, and embedding innovation in daily tasks.

Target Compensation:

Competitive base salary ranging from $130,047 - $190,735, plus an annual cash bonus based on individual performance. Adjustments may apply for candidates in select metropolitan areas.
