Supervisor: Maintenance Supervisor & Plant Operations Supervisor

General Job Description: Performs skilled maintenance and repair on water, gas, and other pipe systems within the district. Perform tasks associated with general maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Inspect, service and repair plumbing systems
  • Maintain sewage systems
  • Trouble shooting of systems
  • Repair water service lines and drain line
  • Inspect and maintain sewage lift stations, grease traps, chemical traps, etc.
  • Maintain tools and other equipment
  • Other duties as deemed necessary by supervisor

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

Qualifications: High school diploma or GED, Current driver's license and a clean driving record, New Mexico JP license preferred. Verified experience in repair and modification of plumbing systems and general maintenance work, considerate knowledge of safety precautions.

Physical Requirements: Ability to perform the job and access the environment for which you are hired. Sitting, standing, lifting and carrying (up to 50 pounds), reaching, squatting, kneeling, prolonged typing, physical ability to type on a keyboard terminal, and moving light furniture may be required.

Equipment/Technology Handled: Must know how to properly operate or be willing to learn to operate all multimedia equipment including current technology.

Work Environment: Must be able to work within various degrees of noise, temperature, and air quality. Interruptions of work are routine. Flexibility and patience are required. Must be self-motivated and able to complete job assignment without direct supervision. After hour work may be required.

Terms of Employment: Salary and work calendar established yearly by the district. This position is contracted for 246 days per year.
