The Division of Philanthropic & Alumni Engagement (PAE) at the University of Pittsburgh is dedicated to fostering meaningful relationships with donors, alumni, and stakeholders, supporting the University's mission in education, research, and healthcare. We invite you to become a pivotal part of our team as the Manager - Philanthropic Engagement Center. In this role, you will serve as the integral part within PAE's Advancement Services department, reporting to the Senior Director, Annual Programs

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and supervise a team of student Engagement Ambassadors.
  • Manage recruitment, interviewing, hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and oversee a student supervisor program to support leadership and training.
  • Monitor engagement shifts and ensure fundraising and outreach goals are met.
  • Plan and execute multi-channel campaigns (phone, text, video, email).
  • Align outreach with university priorities such as donor retention, acquisition, stewardship, and Pitt Day of Giving.
  • Customize strategies to foster a strong Engagement Center culture and boost constituent interaction.
  • Operate and troubleshoot automated engagement systems and related technology.
  • Create weekly engagement plans using digital tools.
  • Track and report on performance metrics (daily, weekly, annual).
  • Maintain department hardware, software, and equipment.
  • Conduct bi-monthly onboarding and semesterly all-staff training sessions.
  • Provide ongoing professional development for Ambassadors.
  • Share schedules, training materials, and resources via the PEC site.
  • Collaborate with leadership to set strategic goals and ensure alignment with fundraising objectives.
  • Approve timecards and manage Ambassador work schedules.
