Job Summary and Responsibilities
Performs breast ultrasound procedures. Assists with evaluations of equipment and procedures. Liaison for ultrasound interdepartmental procedures. Assumes role of Lead as required.

Daily Operations and Procedures

Performs exams based on anatomy and patient habitus per exam protocol

Demonstrates competency in performing procedures as reflected in the exam protocol as well as complies with performance of two patient identifiers and gel in/gel out. Always produces high quality imaging, provides legible,
-
accurate and complete documentation to physician.

Performs exams proficiently.

Maintains the integrity of a sterile field. Protects patients with open/seeping skin by providing a barrier between the US probe and the exposed wound.

Demonstrates proficiency in locating patient information in Empower, RCO, RADNET, Dominator as needed in the performance/dictation of exam.
Job Requirements
Minimum
High School Diploma/GED
RTBS (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist, Breast) or RDMSBR (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) and MAMMRAD:AZ (Certified Mammography Rad Tech in AZ)
Completion of ARDMS or ARRT approved ultrasound training program or hospitalbased ultrasound training
program
BLS-CPR
Preferred
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Cerner experience.
Associate degree or BS degree
ARDMS BR - Breast Certified
Completion of ARDMS or ARRT approved ultrasound program.

Pay Range
$39.18 - $58.28 /hour
