Leidos is searching for dedicated Customer Support Specialists to join our FHA Resource Center team.
Our Leidos Customer Service team plays a vital role in supporting the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Office of Single-Family Housing, to fulfill their mission of creating strong, sustainable, and inclusive communities with quality affordable housing for everyone.
In this position, you will provide assistance to renters, homebuyers, and homeowners concerning their housing inquiries. You will have the chance to deepen your understanding of HUD rental assistance programs and FHA Housing Administration (FHA) mortgage programs through ongoing training while delivering outstanding customer service.

Your Role as a Customer Support Specialist:
Respond to calls and emails from the public regarding housing and FHA mortgages.
Utilize a knowledge base and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to address customer inquiries effectively.
Deliver exceptional customer service in a high-volume call center, including managing customer complaints.
Document all communications with customers via email and phone within an internal database.
Your Qualifications for Success:
Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and applications and employ search tools to assist clients.
Strong time management skills and reliability.
Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Teams).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including telephone etiquette.
Keyboarding skills of at least 40 words per minute.
Required Qualifications:
High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a contact center or telephone customer service role.
Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security clearance, which involves a credit check and background investigation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a call center environment (Omnichannel).
Familiarity with rental property management or mortgage servicing, including managing complaints.

Pay for this position is $17.00 per hour.
This position is subject to the Service Contract Act, ensuring compliance with minimum wage requirements and Health and Welfare benefits. Leidos guarantees adherence to all provisions through their wages and benefits.
