Our client, a leading organization in the technology sector, is seeking a Sr Android Engineer with Automation skills to join their dynamic team. As a Sr Android Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Mobile Development Department supporting innovative projects that enhance user experiences. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Android Engineer (San Francisco)

Location: San Francisco, CA

Pay Range: Competitive hourly rate based on experience

What's the Job?

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android mobile applications using Kotlin and Java.
  • Lead the development of automated testing frameworks, including unit testing, UI testing, and performance testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features and enhancements.
  • Identify and troubleshoot application bottlenecks, ensuring optimal performance across devices.
  • Maintain and update applications published on app stores, ensuring compliance with latest standards.
What's Needed?
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Android development with Kotlin and/or Java.
  • Proficiency in writing automated tests using frameworks like Appium.
  • Experience with Java, Shell Scripting, and mobile test automation tools.
  • Strong understanding of code versioning tools such as Git or Bitbucket.
