About The Position

 Wellhart is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant specializing in Urgent Care for a 36-day locum tenens assignment in Colorado. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of experience in Family Practice, Emergency Room, or Urgent Care settings. This fast-paced role involves providing urgent care services to patients aged 3 months and older, with a daily patient volume of 30-45. The assignment begins on 01/01/2026, with a varied schedule including weekday, weekend, and evening shifts. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality urgent care services in a busy clinic environment using the Practice Velocity system.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 am - 8 pm, Saturday 8 am - 7 pm, Sunday 8 am - 5 pm

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

Provide urgent care services to patients aged 3 months and older

Manage a high-volume patient load of 30-45 patients daily

Perform necessary urgent care procedures

Utilize Practice Velocity electronic health record system

Work efficiently in a fast-paced clinic environment

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care

Maintain accurate and timely medical records

Adhere to all clinic policies and procedures

Additional Information:

Must be licensed to practice in Colorado

3-6 years of experience in Family Practice, Emergency Room, or Urgent Care required

Comfort with pediatric patients (3 months and older) is essential

Strong clinical skills and ability to work in a high-pressure environment
