Position Overview:

  • Full Time: 40 hours per week
  • Pay Range: $26.10 - $39.15
  • Location: Aurora St Lukes Medical Center - 2900 W Oklahoma Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53215
  • Benefits Eligible: Yes
  • $10,000 Sign-On Bonus Eligible with distance-based relocation available
  • $2,000 Sign-On Bonus Eligible for PM Shifts

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a clean, safe, and efficient surgical area for optimal patient care using aseptic techniques.
  • Assist in the preparation of materials, supplies, and equipment for surgeries.
  • Maintain environmental disinfection and operational efficiency of the operating room.
  • Function as a Second Assistant when necessary, helping with various surgical procedures.
  • Identify and notify staff of any equipment or supply issues to ensure smooth operations.
  • Transport patients, equipment, and supplies as needed, ensuring proper patient handling techniques.
  • Maintain and ensure the completeness of specialty carts or items, checking for sterility and working condition.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques and various operating room equipment.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
