Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product managers to transform business needs into actionable AI projects.
  • Work alongside technical leaders to ensure timely delivery of AI models and service integrations.
  • Coordinate with global teams to move projects from research proof of concept to production.
  • Invent new healthcare and enterprise services utilizing the latest advancements in generative AI, machine learning, and deep learning.
  • Design and evaluate AI solution architecture, ensuring best practices in data, modeling, training, and evaluation.
  • Lead and mentor both junior and senior applied scientists, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing.
  • Write and maintain production-level code while advocating for best practices in coding and engineering.
  • Engage in project planning, reviews, and retrospective discussions to improve processes.
  • Proactively identify and address risks that may arise during project execution, particularly at the intersection of business and technology.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience designing and implementing scalable AI models for real-world applications.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning, deep learning, and architectural frameworks, particularly Transformers.
  • Hands-on familiarity with advanced LLM and generative AI technologies, including parameter-efficient fine-tuning and innovative prompt engineering methods.
  • Experience with LLM frameworks and tools such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, VectorStores, and MLFlow.
  • Expertise in creating data collection and annotation systems, along with thorough evaluation methodologies for production systems.
  • A commitment to remaining informed about the latest academic advancements and applying them to solve complex business issues.
  • A strong publication history in top-tier journals or conferences.
  • Experience in mentoring early-career professionals in the field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of healthcare AI model delivery is a significant advantage.
  • Familiarity with recent developments in computer vision and multimodal modeling is a plus.

Education

  • PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Linguistics, or a related field with a focus on Machine Learning and Deep Learning, ideally with 1+ years of relevant experience; OR
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience.
