As a Medical Chief Officer, you will play a pivotal role in leading and supervising primary care providers (PCPs) within your assigned center. Your responsibilities will include maximizing our core model execution, enhancing clinical quality and efficiency, and ensuring high patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide independent care for patients with acute and chronic conditions, particularly in older adults.
- Takes full accountability for patient outcomes and coordinates care with specialists as needed.
- Collaborate with hospitalists for hospitalized patients, maintaining detailed oversight of their care.
- Conduct assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and manage care for patients with complex health needs.
- Lead and manage a care team which includes medical assistants and coordinators.
- Engage with transitional care teams for patients unable to visit the office.
- Lead weekly Super Huddles and Transforming Care Meetings, stepping in as needed for clinical leadership.
- Play an active role in center management, including patient recruitment and provider onboarding.
- Mentor and coach PCPs to achieve outstanding clinical outcomes.
- Partner with Operations Directors to enhance center financial performance and membership growth.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and various applications used in the organization.
- Willingness to travel locally and occasionally for training and recruitment.
- Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment in clinical decisions.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- MD or DO in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a similar specialty required.
- Current active medical licensure in the relevant state.
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a relevant practice setting preferred.
- Completion of Chen Medical training as outlined in your development plan.
- Board certification in a relevant specialty preferred; eligibility required.
- Possess a current DEA number for controlled substances.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be acquired within 90 days of employment.
Compensation:
Salary range: $231,876 - $331,251
