Job Summary

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will be a vital caregiver in our long-term care setting, providing compassionate, resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
You will fulfill both physical and psychological needs of residents, following care plans closely and adhering to infection prevention protocols. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Gathering and documenting vital signs
  • Providing psychosocial support
  • Facilitating resident transfers, repositioning, and mobility
  • Offering assistance during meals and ensuring a positive dining experience
  • Documenting resident interactions and conditions
  • Contributing to cleanliness and organization within living areas

You may also assist nursing staff with procedures, participate in wellness and recreational programs, and support residents' engagement in activities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum age of 16; previous clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care is a plus
  • CNA certification in compliance with state regulations within four months of hire
  • Complete yearly competency testing and maintain continuing education credits (12 hours required annually)
  • Must fulfill any additional driving requirements if deemed necessary for role
