Salary Range: $20.00 - $29.50

Pay Info: $5000 Sign on Bonus

Job Summary

The Senior Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is an essential caregiver focused on providing exemplary resident care in a long-term care environment. Utilizing your extensive CNA experience, you will lead by example, assisting other staff while ensuring the highest standard of care for residents.

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver personalized nursing care and support for daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Monitor and record vital signs and collect non-invasive body fluid specimens.
  • Assist with resident transfers, providing physical support while observing best practices.
  • Prepare meals and create a welcoming dining experience.
  • Document resident care interactions and report changes in condition to the registered nurse (RN).
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment through housekeeping tasks.
  • Encourage resident participation in wellness and recreational programs.
  • Participate in department committees and ongoing training as needed.

You may also be responsible for leading restorative nursing programs and maintaining required documentation.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred, not mandatory.
  • Minimum age of 16 with two years of clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
  • Completion of yearly competency testing and 12 hours of continuing education is required annually.
  • Must be willing to complete Restorative Nursing training within 6 months.
  • If applicable, must be registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.
  • Driver’s license and motor vehicle report may be required based on facility needs.
