Oxbow is currently seeking a Tax Manager to join our team in West Palm Beach, Florida. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the company's sales and use tax compliance, property tax compliance, and will lead additional value-added projects within the organization.

Job Duties
  • Manage U.S. sales and use tax, and property tax compliance, including data gathering, return preparation, reviewing and remitting returns across all applicable jurisdictions.
  • Research current tax laws to ensure compliance and identify potential improvements or optimizations.
  • Train and advise internal teams on relevant tax and compliance matters.
  • Support and implement company-wide tax planning initiatives.
  • Opportunity to grow and assume additional responsibilities within tax department over time.
Requirements

Job Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree in accounting is preferred.
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years' experience in sales and use tax, as well as property tax.
  • CPA certification is preferred.
  • Experience in research, writing, and analytical evaluation is necessary.
  • Familiarity with tax research software is needed.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines efficiently is required.
Physical Requirements
  • Typically sits or stands for an extended amount of time in front of a computer.
  • As needed, lifts, carries or otherwise moves and positions objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • May be required to move about to coordinate work.
  • The ability to communicate or exchange ideas by means of verbal or written to impart information to clients or to the public and to convey detailed Instructions to other workers.
  • Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
  • Must be able to travel as needed.
  • Motivation for ongoing learning and professional development is expected.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential.
