Primary Skills: Kubernetes (Expert), Cloud (Expert), Terraform (Expert), SRE (Advanced), Python (Expert) Contract Type: W2 Only Duration: 6+ Months Location: Sunnyvale, CA Pay Range: $85 - $90 per hour on W2 Job Summary: As a Senior Production Engineer, you will be a pivotal technical leader dedicated to enhancing the reliability and compliance of our digital health and medical software platforms within a regulated environment. You will leverage modern DevOps/SRE practices, cloud-native technologies, and advanced tooling to lead initiatives in deployment automation, incident response, and system scalability while ensuring strict adherence to FDA GxP guidelines and HITRUST standards. Your role involves close collaboration with engineering, quality, and compliance teams to maintain the safety and effectiveness of solutions crucial for patient care under stringent regulatory demands. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and sustainment of CI/CD pipelines integrating with auditable deployment processes and embedding infra-as-code practices. Architect and maintain compliant, scalable, and highly available systems using Kubernetes and major cloud platforms, embedding security with HITRUST and GxP controls. Define and optimize reliability metrics as per SRE principles in a regulated healthcare context, focusing on SLIs/SLOs/SLAs. Drive capacity planning, infrastructure optimization, and performance tuning with a focus on meeting rigorous regulatory and privacy standards. Create, maintain, and act on incident response playbooks, ensuring comprehensive documentation for FDA compliance and audit readiness alongside monitoring and security incident management. Must-have Skills: In-depth expertise in Kubernetes, cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure), and infra-as-code (Terraform). Strong background in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or Go. Proven experience in managing and supporting environments under FDA GxP, HITRUST, and familiarity with HIPAA respective to healthcare/medical device domains. Domain Experience Required: Extensive experience (7+ years) in Production Engineering, DevOps, or SRE within healthcare, medical device, or life sciences industries, specifically with systems under FDA GxP and HITRUST compliance.
