Oxford Solutions is hiring a Network and Systems Engineer to support our client's dynamic MSP environment.

This position focuses on maintaining stable network environments, improving system performance, and resolving escalated issues while working directly with clients. You'll touch a wide range of technologies, from switches and APs to firewalls and Microsoft identity tools.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain managed switches, wireless access points, and network firewalls across multiple client sites
  • Conduct network evaluations, document configurations, and track performance trends
  • Administer and support Microsoft Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD), and hybrid identity systems
  • Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues, security alerts, and network slowdowns
  • Partner with the help desk team to handle advanced technical escalations
  • Participate in onboarding new MSP clients and bringing their systems into centralized management tools
  • Keep clear records within PSA and RMM systems to support ongoing service delivery
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in IT support, preferably within an MSP or multi-client environment
  • Strong understanding of switching, routing, VLANs, and general LAN/WAN concepts
  • Hands-on experience working with Fortinet, SonicWall, Meraki, or similar firewalls
  • Solid background in wireless networking and access point management
  • Familiarity with Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and cloud identity services
  • Ability to organize priorities across several clients and communicate effectively
  • Certifications such as Network+, Security+, or vendor-specific credentials are helpful
