The Radar Systems Engineer is vital in shaping specifications for radar development programs by diligently adhering to the systems engineering processes related to development, review, and release of specifications. You will ensure proper communication of System Capabilities and Requirements throughout the entire design and verification processes.

What You Will Do:

  • Produce updated specifications for enhancements and maintenance of radar systems.

  • Collaborate with Software and Systems Test teams, as well as the U.S. Government customers, on radar advancements driven by hardware and algorithm innovations.

  • Oversee Radar Systems Requirement Development, ensuring adherence to technical standards.

  • Work closely with the Systems Engineering Lead and Chief Engineers to ensure consistent fulfillment of Hardware, Software, and System Requirements.

  • Support internal funding initiatives for future Radar capability upgrades and innovations.

  • Participate in various Program and Gate Reviews including Systems Requirements Reviews, Design Reviews, and Test Readiness Reviews.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and at least 2 years of engineering experience.

  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

  • Experience with tactical air defense systems, product development processes, and software development.

  • Proven ability to engage with external customers effectively.

  • Experience throughout the product development life cycle.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance.

  • Knowledge of radar systems and technology.

  • Ability to make critical technical decisions and set project priorities.

  • Experience in designing, implementing, and testing radar waveforms and signal processing algorithms.

  • Familiarity with the Raytheon Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) and associated processes.

  • Willingness to travel, both domestically and internationally.
