Application Administrator Tech Lead

Engineering and Technology Application Services (ETAS) has an opening for an Application Administrator Tech Lead who is familiar with supporting enterprise deployments of engineering applications including PTC Windchill, Siemens EDM, and Source Intel The Compliance Map, and being a technical lead for the operations of a team managing these applications at a platform level. This position does require the availability for off-shift system administration support and possible travel up to 10% of your time.
This individual will be involved in all phases of administering enterprise engineering applications including working with vendors, installation, deployment, administration, upgrades and supporting end user issues. This includes investigation and root cause analysis of issues impacting infrastructure, application, system integration and performance.
What You Will Do:
- Provide advanced technical guidance and solutions on performance and environment issues to resolve impacts to teams and end users.
- Lead root cause investigation and corrective action reports with regards to outages and urgent issues impacting end users.
- Maintain configuration management documentation of architecture items such as all application environments, components, and software modules.
- Interface between support team and datacenter teams that support the architecture.
- Develop and coordinate application and OS deployments schedules and assignees.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience in managing PTC Windchill and other engineering applications for a large company on Red Hat Linux and Microsoft Windows.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the engineering management system due to government data requirements.
- Ability to lead software infrastructure and application deployments related to complex enterprise PLM environments.
- Knowledge and experience deploying, administering and upgrading a complex PLM system and Oracle RDBMS.
- Ability to identify and resolve critical issues relating to hardware/software implementations.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience with Engineering architecture and design concepts especially in the US Aerospace and defense sector.
- Experience with developing automations based on bash, ant, Java, PL/SQL, and/or XML.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, customer support environment and with all levels of the organization.
- Detailed working knowledge of Atlassian suite in combination with Agile methodologies.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidates work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the companys performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
