Job Overview:
Search Solution Group is seeking a Contract HR Specialist on behalf of our client, a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) providing co-employment and payroll services to businesses across the United States. This role is essential in maintaining and enhancing the client's experience within an HR outsourced model, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting key HR functions. The HR Specialist will partner closely with HR leadership, managers, employees, and internal support teams to deliver efficient, compliant, and high-quality HR services.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the employee onboarding process, including reconciling credentials with state agencies.
  • Support leave administration activities with guidance from internal resources.
  • Generate reports required for audits, surveys, and mandatory filings.
  • Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll and time & attendance.
  • Work with managers to verify hours and submit payroll for processing.
  • Train managers and employees on various HR systems, including HRIS, payroll, onboarding, and time & attendance platforms.
  • Serve as an on-site point of contact for the client alongside another Resourcing Edge colleague.
  • Support benefits administration and open enrollment efforts (in partnership with the broker).
  • Maintain understanding and use of HR systems to support departmental operations.
  • Perform other duties aligned with the objectives of the role and organizational goals.
Requirements Include: Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Experience:
  • One or more years of relevant HR experience.
  • Experience working with HRIS, payroll systems, and/or CRM platforms preferred.
  • Compliance-related experience is a plus.
Skills:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general HR systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to train and support employees and managers across various HR tools.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities with sound judgment.
  • Ability to effectively present information to employees, managers, and senior leadership.
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
Certifications:
  • HR-related certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) are a plus but not required.
Knowledge:
  • Understanding of HR operations, payroll, onboarding, and time & attendance systems.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements is beneficial.
