Schedule: Full-time (Friday - Sunday, 3-12's)

Pay Range: Starting at $30.91/hour with daily pay available

Shift Differentials: Weekend option - $7.50/hr, Regular weekends - $2/hr

Location: SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital, 1201 Grand

Requirements: Completion of Radiology program and ARRT-R credential required; ARMRIT or ARRT-MR must be obtained within 12 months of hire. MRI cross-training can be provided, and course tuition is covered for full-time staff. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Radiologist, Director, and Manager, you will conduct diagnostic medical imaging through Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures, including Cardiac MRI and Interoperative MRI.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform magnetic resonance imaging examinations (40%): Ensure patient safety, produce quality images, and maintain communication with patients and colleagues.
  2. Adhere to departmental policies and procedures (2%): Participate in quality assurance and reports issues promptly.
  3. Document patient care adequately (3%): Maintain accurate records in compliance with departmental guidelines.
  4. Utilize hospital radiology systems effectively (3%): Input and manage patient information with confidentiality.
  5. Maintain a safe and clean work environment (2%): Follow infection control policies and manage biohazard waste.
  6. Provide exceptional customer service (5%): Engage with patients and their families courteously and empathetically.
  7. Incorporate performance improvement into work (5%): Utilize resources responsibly and suggest improvements when necessary.

Physical and Employment Specifications:

  • Minimum Education: High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum Experience: 1-3 years MRI experience, preferably in a level 1 trauma facility.
  • Required Certifications: BLS, ARRT certification in MR preferred; those without ARRT certification must obtain it within twelve months of employment.
  • Working Conditions: Exposure to biohazards and the potential for irregular hours.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and move for long periods, lift over 100 lbs, and assist patients as needed.
