EMS Talent Acquisition Specialist

As an AmeriPro EMS Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our organization by identifying, attracting, and hiring top-tier talent to join the AmeriPro Health team. In collaboration with our Operations and Human Resources teams, this role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced, ever-evolving, and innovative healthcare organization dedicated to excellence in EMS services.

In this position, you will be responsible for sourcing, interviewing and in collaboration with the Ops Director, hiring highly skilled professionals (Paramedics, EMTs, Dispatchers, et al) who not only meet the qualifications for their roles but also embody our Core Values and are committed to growing with our organization. This role requires someone who naturally upholds and represents the values and culture of AmeriPro Health in every aspect of their work.

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven team player who is tech-savvy, eager to learn, and possesses exceptional communication skills. Most importantly, you must be passionate about delivering a seamless and engaging candidate experience, ensuring that every new hire is a perfect fit for both the role and our mission.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Candidate Sourcing & Pipeline Development - Identify, attract, and maintain a steady pipeline of qualified EMS talent across assigned markets.
  • Candidate Engagement & Pre-Screening - Conduct outreach, assess candidate fit, and deliver an exceptional candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
  • Offer Management & Onboarding Launch - Facilitate offer presentation, acceptance, and smooth transition into onboarding.
  • EMS School & Program Engagement - Build and sustain partnerships with EMS schools, training programs, and community partners to strengthen long-term pipelines.
  • Participation in EMS Expos & Association Events - Represent AmeriPro Health at state and regional EMS events to promote brand visibility and recruitment efforts.
  • Employee Experience Liaison - Serve as a bridge between Talent Acquisition and Operations to support retention and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Employee Referral Program - Champion and drive participation in the company's internal referral program to expand sourcing through existing employee networks.

Job Qualifications

What You Need to Bring to the Table
  • Healthcare Recruitment Experience (Required) - Minimum of two (2) years of proven experience in healthcare recruitment.
  • EMS recruitment strongly preferred; other relevant healthcare settings include hospitals, clinics, skilled nursing facilities (SNF), and long-term care (LTC).
  • Experience recruiting for healthcare-specific roles such as paramedics, EMTs, nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals.
Recruitment Skills:
  • Strong interviewing skills with the ability to assess technical skills, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Skilled in negotiation of offers and compensation packages.
  • Proficiency in sourcing candidates through multiple channels: niche job boards, social media, referrals, healthcare networking events, and college recruitment.
Interpersonal & Soft Skills
  • Ability to connect with candidates' motivations, especially for critical and high-stress roles.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple candidates, applications, and schedules efficiently.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure in fast-paced, time-sensitive environments.
  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines, adapt quickly, and pivot as priorities change.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: able to build trust, foster positive relationships, and work cohesively within a team.
  • Ability to follow directions with precision, embrace leadership guidance with professionalism, and actively contribute to the achievement of team objectives through collaboration, accountability, and a commitment to excellence.

Specialized Knowledge
  • Familiarity with healthcare industry regulations (e.g., HIPAA, certification/licensure, continuing education).
  • Understanding of credentialing and licensing requirements.

  • Experience working in geographically dispersed organizations and managing multiple priorities.
Technology Proficiency
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Proficiency in Smartsheet for tracking recruitment pipelines, onboarding workflows, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and communication platforms (email, video conferencing, etc.).


Education

* High School Diploma or equivalent required.

* Associate's or Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
