Join us as a Senior Signal Processing Engineer and play a crucial role in Electronic Warfare (EW), a rapidly expanding sector that ensures the safety of our warfighters and enhances national security against evolving threats. At Leidos Innovations Center (LInC), we are looking for talented individuals to contribute to our mission in either Arlington, VA or San Diego, CA.

As a Senior Signal Processing Engineer, you will engage in the research, design, and development of advanced signal collection, processing, and dissemination systems. Your responsibilities will include designing and analyzing systems for information extraction from signal sensors, achieving program goals, leading technical teams, and engaging in business development initiatives.

Your regular tasks will include:

  • Developing innovative algorithms and conducting performance simulations using both simulated and real data in time series and spectral domains.
  • Leading technical teams and managing multiple projects.
  • Supporting marketing and business development efforts by creating technical solutions and proposals for capture efforts.
  • Participating in and/or directing lab-based and field testing.
  • Effectively communicating results through briefings and written documentation to your team, management, and clients.

Basic Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship with an active Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in tools such as MATLAB, Linux, Python, and Simulink; experience with programming languages like C/C++ or Java.
  • Strong knowledge in digital filtering, spectral estimation, detection, and estimation theory.
  • Demonstrated leadership in multi-disciplinary technical teams and projects.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in the EW, SIGINT, or radar fields.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree.
  • Experience in Business Development and Capture, including proposal writing.
  • Background in Research and Development (R&D) settings.

Note: The salary range for this position is $180,000 - $260,000 for qualified candidates with a current clearance and the capability to achieve a TS/SCI clearance. This position requires working on-site in either Arlington, VA or San Diego, CA.
