Pharmacy Operations Supervisor

Join our team as a Pharmacy Operations Supervisor where you will play a critical role in ensuring day-to-day pharmacy operations run smoothly while delivering exceptional service to our patients and customers. Your responsibilities will include overseeing non-clinical pharmacy activities, managing pharmacy technicians, and fostering a positive environment that enhances the patient experience.
- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily pharmacy workflows, supporting a certified pharmacy technician role while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Supervise pharmacy technicians and cashiers, and maintain an organized and efficient pharmacy environment.
- Customer Engagement: Proactively engage with customers to assist with their needs, resolving complaints and ensuring a positive experience. Develop relationships with customers by anticipating their needs and enhancing their overall healthcare journey.
- Training and Performance Management: Lead the hiring, training, and development of pharmacy technicians. Conduct performance evaluations and ensure consistent adherence to company policies, ensuring a strong team committed to excellence.
- Inventory and Compliance Oversight: Manage pharmacy inventory and coordinate efforts to maintain compliance with regulatory standards. Ensure accurate processing of prescriptions and insurance claims, addressing any issues that arise.
- Community Engagement: Manage outreach initiatives and coordinate pharmacist participation in community events, building partnerships with local healthcare providers.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- PTCB or ExCPT certification.
- Minimum one year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail or hospital setting.
- Fluency in English, with a willingness to work flexible hours.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in people management.
- Experience with Walgreens with a strong performance evaluation record.
