Network Administrator Desired Skill Set

  • Advanced knowledge of the following Cisco Products:
    • Switching and routing on Catalyst 9300 and advanced router models
    • Nexus ACI Fabric configuration and administration
    • Cisco port security and 802.1x configurations
    • Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers and WAPs along with encryption
    • Cisco Umbrella
    • Cisco Duo
    • Cisco FTD appliances utilized for VPN using Cisco AnyConnect
    • Cisco Client
  • Advanced knowledge of Check Point infrastructure to include:
    • Security posturing and Policy Management
    • Administration and configuration
    • IDS/IPS blade
    • Geo Location blade
    • AWS Virtual Firewall licensing and administration
  • Advanced knowledge of F5 Load Balancers to include:
    • iRules and Profiles
    • Upgrades and Administration
    • Virtual resource management and monitoring
    • Security encryption protocols
    • AWS NLBs
  • Knowledge of Passler PRTG Enterprise Monitoring
  • Knowledge of Passler MetMRI Switch Management and Compliance
  • Data Center switching, routing and support
  • AWS Networking
  • AWS Direct Connect Administration
  • ISP Management and perimeter routing
  • VoIP and SIP support
  • Microsoft RADIUS
  • AWS VPC and Security Group Management
  • Gigamon Infrastructure
  • Tenable and Nipper Vulnerability tools for vulnerability management and remediation
  • Infoblox Infrastructure to include:
    • DNS Administration and Management
    • IPAM
    • Advanced features
  • Disaster Recover Concepts for Business Continuity
  • IT Project Management concepts
  • Adherence to IT Change Management policies and procedures
  • Certifications in any of the above competencies is a plus
