The Samsung Ad Platform delivers high-quality audience targeting powered by three key components: first-party audience data at scale, world-class data science, and brand-safe cross-device ad inventory.

As streaming expands consumer options and access to premium content, Samsung TV Plus, Samsung's free ad-supported TV (FAST) and on-demand (AVOD) service, has seen remarkable growth. Now with 88 million monthly active users and an over 50% increase in global viewership YoY, Samsung TV Plus' audience scale and engagement make it the #1 app in the U.S. on the #1 TV brand.

Samsung Ads' Channel Sales org leads revenue driving programmatic partnerships with supply side platforms (SSPs), demand side platforms (DSPs), and other inventory buyers (e.g. Retail Media Networks). We are currently looking for a talented Strategic Initiatives Manager to help deliver the team's larger initiatives and develop forward looking strategy. This person is as comfortable making a twelve month strategy presentation as they are meeting with a potential new partner to understand and validate unique capabilities beneficial to Samsung.

This individual must be able to think strategically, uncover and respond to evolving market dynamics, identify and rally the organization to deliver high impact initiatives on time and with maximal impact. Additionally, this Strategic Initiatives Manager will be the consummate team-player and have the ability to work collaboratively across functions (e.g. Product, Business Development, Monetization) within a fluid and fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Structure and manage ad-hoc strategic initiatives by gathering and analyzing data, synthesizing insights, developing actionable recommendations and implementing recommendations
  • Bring analytical rigor, strategic thinking, and creative problem-solving to support the growth of Samsung Ads' programmatic business
  • Develop executive-level presentations to communicate strategic recommendations to Samsung Ads and Samsung Service Business Team leadership
  • Assist in the annual planning process
  • Develop workflows and processes to ensure operational excellence for programmatic activations
  • Collaborate with Samsung Ads Product & Engineering team
  • Clearly communicate technical concepts to internal and external stakeholders
  • Meet with existing or potential partners to understand their solution and it's relevancy to Samsung and develop a business case for partnership when appropriate
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Passion for streaming entertainment and technology
  • Advanced technical skills in Excel and PowerPoint, with experience in financial modeling
  • Analytical mindset and ability to structure ambiguous problems
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • 6-12+ years of industry or relatable experience with a significant portion spent working at a video publisher, SSP, ad server, or DSP
  • Experience in troubleshooting programmatic connections with agencies
  • Comfortable interacting with large data sets, identifying patterns and trends to action off of
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Deep understanding of the programmatic advertising ecosystem, specifically around streaming TV/video
  • 2+ years of experience in investment banking, consulting firm, or a corporate strategy/development group
  • Understanding of SQL and how to use for business analysis


Skills and Qualifications

The salary range for this role is expected to be between $140,000 and $190,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
