Job Description

I. Job Summary

Leads enterprise reporting and business intelligence development for WM's Customer organization spanning Revenue Management, Sales, Customer Experience, and other capabilities. Drives business intelligence strategic direction while ensuring accurate and on-time delivery of reporting and data projects. Collaborative partner that drives insights to business action.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Proactively align reporting and analytics with business strategy through understanding of core business principles
  • Creates and/or approves project plans and application designs to ensure projects are aligned with standards and IT strategy. Approves standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Lead, develop, and manage a team of technical business intelligence professionals through clear goal-setting and professional development while executing on business priorities
  • Deliver insights through expert understanding of data visualization and storytelling, and provides expert technical and functional leadership and problem resolution to team.
  • Gather and understand requirements from business decision makers and translate into action plans for technical developers for reporting
  • Assigns and reviews work. Allocates appropriate resources to ensure that projects are completed within committed time and budget and are integrated with other software applications.
  • Collaborate with both highly technical and non-technical teams to manage multiple concurrent reporting and data initiatives
  • Owns sales reporting data warehouse and provides strategic direction for how data is structured to support both formal and ad-hoc reporting
  • Coordinates communication about project status to all levels of the organization.
  • Lead, develop, and manage a team of technical business intelligence professionals through clear goal-setting and professional development while executing on business priorities
  • Coordinates and oversees recruiting, interviewing, hiring, career development, performance management, pay determination and team communication
III. Qualifications

A. Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration or similar area of study, or in lieu of degree
  • High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 4 years of relevant experience
  • 8 or more years of previous experience (in addition to education requirement)
B. Preferred Qualifications
  • Project Management Certification
  • ITIL
  • Certified Software Test Engineer
  • Business Intelligence, Reporting and Analytics Experience
