Description

The Technical Sales Support Specialist is responsible for effectively promoting, quoting, and supporting sales efforts and or activities focused on securing new equipment opportunities in addition to building and maintaining customer relationships, and interacting with third parties' companies who build and sales our products. Qualified Sales Engineer Candidates will hold a bachelor's degree in a field of Engineering, or equivalent min 3 years' experience in heavy industrial, oil and gas or manufacturing equipment.

Location: Houston, TX

Duration: Fulltime/Direct Hire

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Identify and realize opportunities with existing and new customers.
  • Build multi-level customer relationships to support account strategy at each site and coordinate the use of internal resources, including local field application engineers, sales management, and business unit staff to drive design wins.
  • Provides product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.
  • Provide value-added feedback on customer needs to management, business units and customer service teams.
  • Provide accurate demand forecast.
  • Manage customer backlog to ensure purchase orders are booked (internally and externally with vendors) with adequate lead time.
  • Ensure customers adhere to agreed contractual terms over time.
  • Manage major client to meet customer order and achieve sales targets.
  • Manage Inside Sales Order process & schedules and assure to ship them on time.
  • Manage Purchase orders and their schedule placed on manufacturing vendors.
  • Submits orders by conferring with technical support staff and costing engineering changes.
  • Provide Technical, Sales or field customer support as required.
Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Engineer bachelor's degree from a four-year University.
  • At least 3 years' experience of working in a sales applications position in an international oil & gas company.
  • Experience with Reciprocating Pumps is a plus.
  • Experience in key account management.
  • Proficient communication skills in oral and written English. Other languages are a plus.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • Has strong initiative, is self-motivated and hard working.
  • Willing to work with international teams and travel.
  • Good knowledge of the Microsoft Tool Package specially Excell and Power Bi.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Background in oil & gas, automation, valves, controls, or industrial equipment environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, product data sheets, and basic engineering terminology (fluids, pressure, instrumentation, control systems).
  • Prior experience preparing quotes, proposals, or customer pricing packages.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to support key accounts and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical customers.
  • Familiarity with CRM and ERP systems (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, Trasttack) and strong organizational skills for managing quotes, orders, and customer inquiries.
