Major Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, utilizing aseptic techniques for patient care.
  • Prepare materials and equipment for surgical procedures, supporting the surgical team.
  • Ensure operating room efficiency and safety by managing logistics during operations.
  • Assist during surgeries and anticipate the needs of the surgical team.
  • Communicate effectively any equipment or supply issues.
  • Transport patients and maintain specialty carts and equipment.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of patient care standards across various age groups.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Completion of an accredited program in Surgical Technology.
  • Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA within 6 months.
  • Experience: No prior experience required.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of aseptic techniques, excellent customer service, and basic computer proficiency.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to handle the demands of a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull as outlined in the job requirements.
  • Exposure to various operational hazards; must adhere to safety protocols.
  • Required to wear protective equipment and maintain physical stamina throughout shifts.
