Role: Java Fullstack Engineer

Location: Detroit, MI (Hybrid - 3 days on-site per week)

Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Java Fullstack Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this hybrid role based in Detroit, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable microservices and cloud-native applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions and contribute to both backend and frontend development.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable, high-performance microservices using Java, NestJS, and Node.js.

Develop dynamic, responsive UI components and pages using React, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

Analyze user and software requirements to determine feasibility and design optimal solutions.

Write, test, debug, and deploy applications and scripts.

Perform integration and unit testing to ensure code quality and functionality.

Conduct code reviews and identify areas for optimization and performance improvements.

Ensure applications meet performance, scalability, and reliability standards.

Build and maintain cloud-native applications deployed on AWS.

Work collaboratively with developers, designers, system administrators, and stakeholders.

Provide regular status updates and participate in risk mitigation and deliverable reviews.

Maintain clear documentation of software functionality and changes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong proficiency in Java, NestJS, Node.js, Next.js, React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

Experience with developing and deploying cloud-native applications using AWS services.

Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and S3.

Practical experience with Terraform for building AWS infrastructure modules.

Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and DevOps best practices.

Experience working with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.

Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest.

Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
