Senior Fullstack Software Engineer II

Narvar is expanding We are in search of Fullstack Software Engineers passionate about crafting both APIs and user interfaces. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing products that enhance the post-purchase experience for leading brands in the retail sector. As a Fullstack Software Engineer, you will have a significant impact on our customer-facing products, utilizing cutting-edge technologies like Java, NodeJS, Python, React, and GraphQL to deliver complex features that attract millions of views.

Day-to-day Responsibilities:

Frontend Development (Primary Focus):

• Design and implement new product features while supporting and enhancing existing ones.
• Create frontend platform components used across internal and external products, as well as e-commerce storefronts like Shopify and Salesforce.
• Collaborate with other senior engineers to improve overall architecture and uphold code quality standards.
• Work closely with product and design teams to translate wireframes and mockups into functional UI components.

Backend Development (Secondary Focus):

• Assist in the development and maintenance of backend services utilizing Golang and Node.js.
• Demonstrate familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), CI/CD processes, and the ability to deploy code and infrastructure components.
• Work with various databases like Postgres, Spanner, and BigQuery.
• Understand and implement RESTful or GraphQL APIs.

What We're Looking For:

• BS/MS in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
• Over 10 years of experience in building reliable, scalable, and high-quality systems.
• Proficiency in developing consumer-facing applications with frontend frameworks such as React (preferred), Svelte, Angular, Vue, or Ember.
• Experience in crafting well-structured software using Node.js or Golang.
• Familiarity with developing consumer applications that interact with various APIs from a microservices backend.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
• Solid understanding of the full development lifecycle and core computer science principles.
• A strong commitment to code quality and participation in code reviews.
• Experience mentoring other engineers.
• Previous experience in startups is strongly preferred, especially with a growth and product engineering mindset.
