Clinical Nurse Manager, Critical Care Services

At NorthBay Health The Clinical Manager, Critical Care (ICU) is a Registered Nurse who has responsibility and accountability for the clinical and operational management of the Critical Care at NorthBay Medical Center. The Clinical Manager's role is to promote the provision of effective, high quality patient care to all patients. The following responsibilities are included: oversight of clinical nursing practice and patient care delivery, management of human, fiscal and other resources, development of personnel, compliance with regulatory and professional standards, and fostering of interdisciplinary, collaborative relationships within the assigned units and between other departments within the organization. The Clinical Manager works collaboratively with the Clinical Nurse Specialist, Education Specialist, Department Director, and other Clinical Managers to develop and validate the clinical competency of staff. The Clinical Manager collaborates with physicians in order to establish a collegial and interdisciplinary patient care environment.

Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing required.
- Masters Degree preferred.
- One of the degrees must be in nursing.
- Current California RN License.
- Current AHA or equivalent BLS and ACLS certification required.
- Related National Certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years clinical experience in the Intensive Care Unit and 3 years of CVICU and or Trauma experience preferred.
- Supervisory experience / training required.
- Demonstrated clinical experience in the Intensive Care area.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
- Possesses teaching ability, leadership ability, and high professional standards.
- Must be well organized, be able to set priorities, work independently and is an effective team member.
- Word processing and Excel skills required.
- Ability to interact in a professional manner with administration, medical staff, and hospital personnel as well as external customers.
- Performs all physical duties of the job
- Knowledge of regulatory processes required (JCAHO and Title 22).
- $103,840 to $218,400 annually (Max rate is commensurate of 20+ years of clinical leadership experience)
