Job Description
- Must be able to handle export controlled material.
- MUST BE A US PERSON THAT CAN VIEW EXPORT CONTROLLED MATERIAL.
- Must have availability to be flexible with working hours given this is a global team.
- Open to viewing candidates with 4-5 years of experience.
- Temporary Workload Increase
- Build 2D and 3D finite element models of turbine components.
- Run thermal, structural, modal, or forced response analysis with thermal and mechanical loads followed by lifing (LCF, HCF, creep, oxidation, fracture mechanics).
- Postprocess modal results (frequency/Campbell diagram creation).
- Present in Design Reviews.
- Focus and work in PowerPoint, review 2D & 3D models.
- Support root cause analysis (RCA) work.
- MUST BE A US PERSON THAT CAN VIEW EXPORT CONTROLLED MATERIAL.
- At least 4 years of engineering design experience in gas turbine engines.
- Prior experience supporting or leading root cause analyses (RCA).
- Classic Ansys/mechanical design experience (2 years).
- UG/NX experience (2 years).
- Knowledge of GD&T standards, and how to interpret engineering drawings, perform stackups, etc.
- Experience using PLM or Teamcenter configuration management tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Customer satisfaction mindset, ability to work well in a team environment with a positive "can do" attitude.
- Required: Bachelors of Science in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or other relevant engineering discipline.
- Desired: Masters of Science in Engineering.
